Lightning audio not working since ios18

I use a DAC with a lightning > USB adapter and it worked great, till last week. Now I can’t get audio to play through the DAC at all. Any ideas why?

iPhone on iOS 26 no longer sends lossless audio via USB to external DAC. I use Apple Lossless audio on my iPhone and plug it via USB into my amp's DAC. it sounds great! When it works. Unfortunately it has completely stopped working in iOS 26. Other sources on earlier iOS still work. Is anyone else having a problem using an external DAC with iOS 26 devices? (I mean, I know you are, just kind of an edge case.) I believe some people have identified Automix as a problem, but I've turned that off and it still doesn't work.

Sound output not working to another device iPad Pro 5th generation: I cannot get the sound to output to headphones or external speakers using hard wire. Swiping from upper right I do not get a menu that gives me options or choices like so many online videos show, while music is playing from Music or Pandora or DJ. I am using a USB-C to USB-A connector. I can use a BlueTooth Receiver, but I am an Audio Pro whose gold standard for reliability is hard wire.

No sound with videos after iOS 26.1 update After the iOS 26.1 update, I do not have any audio with videos on Facebook or Messenger, or at least, I can not locate the volume on/off button.
