Repairing phone - concerned about icloud

Hi! I'm new to apple devices. I have an issue with my phone and I have to have it repaired. I synced my photos on icloud and logged off. Is it safe to wipe my phone now? will i be able to recover the photos after my phone comes back?

Here is the process you should use. Follow especially “If you still have your old iPhone or iPad“, but ignore the Quick Start option. The “iCloud, iTunes or Finder” shows that you should back up your iPhone. The article explains how to cleanse it, and later you will be prepared to set up the repaired device between your iCloud storage and iPhone backup.
