That unit was refurbished by someone other than Apple in an Apple-approved program. It doesn't indicate that there will or won't be any problems with it.

The phone is not new......it has been refurbished to meet Apple's specifications. It should have a new battery as part of the refurbishment process.

The important question here is whether or not the phone is covered by the AppleCare warranty.
