Renew on issue of Apple Cal and checking for date conflicts for participants

This topic was discussed before.

The bottom line was that only Cal Dev-created cal entries can be checked. That means that both iPad and iPhone-created appointments can be seen on a MAC (if shared as part of your devices) and checked for conflicts.

Also, if you share a Google Calendar with your Apple Calendar and create your appointment in Google Cal, you can check for appointment conflicts. In my situation, the standard calendar supported by my university is Google-made. So, almost all my appointments can be checked for comments.

This is nuts, in my view. I have no idea what it would take for the Apple Calendar on a MAC to be compatible with the Apple Calendar on an iPhone or iPad on this issue. I could swear I had testing available for calendar conflicts before upgrading to OS X 18.

I am sure that with OS X 18, I cannot check calendar entries I make on Apple Cal/MAC, and I feel strongly that Apple should consider this.

There is no OS X 18

The moniker OS X was lasted used for OS X 10.12 Sierra released 2016

There is an iOS 18 for iPhones, iPads released Sept 18, 2024 and a macOS 15 Sequoia also released Sept 16, 2024

As for Google Calendars when used on macOs / iOS

Good luck with that configuration

Apple can fix Apple Services, Applications, Operating Systems.

Apple can not fix Third Party Services when used on Apple Operating Systems

This issue clearly falls  Out-Side of the Domain of Apple and belongs solely with the Third Party Service Developer
