When I start the Calculator, this display always shows the number 683.11 minus. I have to use the back arrow to delete that before I can actually calculate. I have cleared the history, but to know avail. What can I do to start calculator with zero showing?

It will typically open where you left off. To clear, simply tap the AC button in the upper right hand corner. Do that after you've used the calculator and the next time you open it, it will open to 0.
Finally. I deleted the app then downloaded it from the App Store. Opens with 0 now.
Close the Calculator app while zero is showing.
Same thing here. Mine (Iphone 13) is alway the number 4 now matter what I do. I'll do other calculations and shut it down. Opens with a 4. Do other calculations, do a all clear and then shut it down, opens with a number 4.
Now my wifes Iphone 15 always open with the previous calculation when she shuts it down and reopens.
I tried that it still always starts with a number. I have shut it down with zero showing.
I always clear the register with zero showing and I always delete the history. It makes no difference. The calculator always starts with the number 683.11-
What can I do to start calculator with zero showing?
