You apply the link to the specific text, and then if you want that text to have another attribute (e.g. italic), you drag over that link text and apply the italics. If you apply a text color, the link underline assumes that text color. One can also force a different link color than the linked text via the Show Fonts dialog.

Thank you VikingOSX for your kind advice. I do have one more question pertaining to applying specific text to a link. I am right in the middle of contracting with an air conditioner contractor. May I get back to you?
