Why can't I search for past events in the Calender app after ios18!? It does not find my events anymore

After iOS 18 and 18.0.1 the calender does not find my searches. When I try to search for a past event, it does not find anymore. It really affects my work

iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18

Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud, turn off iCloud Calendar, restart your iPhone and turn the setting back on. This should rebuild the search index.
