Airpods Max Fit on Head

I would love to buy Airpod Max however when I try them on they do not fit but slide around on my apparently small head. If I wear a baseball cap they fit nicely, however it is hardly a solution to wear baseball caps when i want to list to my Airpod Max.

Of course I adjusted them to the smallest possible size as well.

Has anyone encountered this problem and is there any possible solution?
