Hi. I by routine backup my Iphone using ITUNES and save the backup on my PC, when i try to restore an older backup I can only see the most recent back to restore, but as I do not know when the virus appeared on my phone I would like to select an older backup to restore from

Hello, iPhone backups in iTunes are automatically overwritten. You would have to archive them to keep different versions. If you haven’t done so, only one backup is available ; the last one you did.
Could you give us more details about your virus issue? There might be other ways to fix it.
