Is my iPad 10 still under warranty after damage?

My 5yr old broke my 5month old iPad whilst replacing the screen one of the screw holders (for lcd screen) broke off is my iPad still under warranty to have this fixed (not the screen)

My IPAD screen is broken but its working fine. Shocked to hear that ipad screen cant be replaced. My IPAD screen is broken, but it works very well. I called customer care only to hear a shocking and stupid reasoning that ipad screen cant be replaced as per apple policy. I have to buy another one. Who buys a new IPAD if screen breaks? What kind of policy and after sales service is this? With kids around these devices are bound to be broken. I am super disappointed and i never wish to buy another apple device again.

The manufacturers warranty does not cover damage caused by self repair.

In attempting repair via any means other than an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP), you have also forfeited any future support from Apple.
