Apple Store QR code to share personal data.

Recently I attended an Apple Store to make a purchase. After asking my name and email address, the person serving me asked me to scan a QR Code on his hand held device on to my iPhone and approve. I did not had the time realise and ask why since he had already had my name and email. But I would like to know all the infos that he gadered. I notice name, email and cellular service provider out of many other authorized. I would like the full list. Should I go back to the store, i can't find the informations online.

You’ll need to discuss the particular QR code with the folks at the Apple Store.

Usual use of a QR in similar contexts is to allow the person to easily view a web page without having to manually enter the URL itself and any applicable parameters, and here probably to view and approve a legal or purchase agreement.

If that is what has happened here, check your Safari history. If this QR (when scanned) provided a URL to Safari, that URL should still be in your Safari history.

To save the QR code itself, you can (next time) use the camera.

But again, this is a guess. The Apple Store should be quite willing to answer these sorts of questions, and they know exactly what they’re doing with this and with any other QR codes they might currently use.
