Entering password on minuscule Watch screen

My Watch wants me to enter my Apple Account password. The minuscule keypad on the Watch is too tiny and the letters disappear so fast from the screen, how on earth can we enter a moderately long psw without getting dinged for using the wrong password too many times and locked out of your account?
