Apple Watch Ultra unresponsive and stuck on spinning dial

I’ve had this Apple Watch for about a year and a half before it it decided to act up. Place on charger overnight, unlock it, before I can walk into the next room it’s stuck on a spinning dial. Attempted to power it off, nothing, then tried to reset it from my iPhone, it no longer is connected to my iPhone, and watch is completely unresponsive. Had to use power and crown on the watch to turn it off. Comes on after some time, but no phone calls or text coming through or going out. Reset it from the watch which was also unresponsive and took several attempts. I have reset it more than a dozen times, set up as a new watch (no backup being used). Works for a moment and back to Same issue. Sent into Apple 3 times, they cannot duplicate the issue and finally sent a replacement, worked for a little over a day until I put on charger for more than an hour; unlock and back to spinning dial again before I could walk into the next room, and no longer connected to my iPhone again. I don’t know what could be causing this as the watch and phone have been updated to latest OS even when it was still iOS 17 and watch OS 10 (currently iOS 18.0.1 on iPhone 14 Pro max; 11 on Apple Watch Ultra 1) I would go with it being the phone if it weren’t for the fact I broke the back glass and just had the entire guts of the phone replaced before receiving the replacement watch. The agent at the repair desk mentioned this is a recurring issue they have with the ultra watch and have seen this on numerous occasions with other customers, is this something anyone else is experiencing? Is this a situation where I should give up on Apple Watch completely? Is there a solution? Information or suggestions would be appreciated.

I guess, setting the watch up as a new device without a backup would be the way to go, in case those 3rd party apps are somehow causing issues.

In case this happens again, and the watch at least starts up and you can access it, contact the official Apple Support and ask them to diagnose it online.

I’m hoping this is a good solution as I am currently ready to give up on Apple Watch completely at this point. This is frustrating, I had to reset it yesterday, and by this morning (directly off the charger) it generally functions, but with issues. (Note: there are no applications on it as of yesterday’s reset, although I can’t keep them from automatically downloading to the device(even with auto download setting off before they are downloaded) non responsive, not getting text (device is activated and stopped receiving all messages unless sent from the watch directly), calendar notifications showing up an hour after their scheduled time (this is working on the phone perfectly), no step count after setting up rings, phone seems connected to watch although it’s not working properly (information on phone not available or on the watch at all). On another reset again now.
