iPad Pro-Missing onscreen keyboard

my onscreen keyboard will not show when I have a text box to use. How do I call it up?

iPad keyboard My iPad keyboard has not been working properly since the last upgrade. It covers the screen where I want to be typing, for example the place where I write a text to somebody. I can’t see what I’m writing even now. Anybody else? I’ve had this iPad since 2018.

I have had the same issue and can't figure out how to fix.

In the meantime, you can touch the tiny icon of as keyboard at the bottom, and choose 'show keyboard'

A restart is supposed to fix this but hasn't helped mine.
