how to enable passcode on apple watch series 10

I want to set up my apple pay and when im getting into the setting and Adding my card for Apple Pay it will go direct to set up passcode and the page will go to watch setting for passcode, however the screen in passcode settings are not enable

apple watch passcode auto attempts without me touching screen I have an apple watch and its worked fine for four months. Now it automatically attempts to unlock when I put it on and I can literally see it typing numbers. It will fail and then say attempt again. How do I get it to respond again to only touches on the screen for passcode? I've attempted to disable the passcode on my iphone via apple watch app, but it says to unlock it first. I'm currently waiting for three hours to attempt again.
