Can't copy Wi-Fi password

Still a problem in Sonoma 14.6.1.

Can click on Copy Password, but can't paste into TextEdit (or Pages, etc.). "Paste" is grayed out; get error tone.

No...it's still a problem, and who knows when Apple will address it--others had the same problem back in January (if not earlier). In the meantime, you can find the password by using the Keychain app in the Utilities folder in Applications. Click on System under System Keychains in the sidebar.

2. Next, click on Passwords at the top of the window.

3. Find the Wi-Fi network you want the password for and double-click on it.

4. Finally, check the box next to Show password and enter your password when prompted. When you check the box next to Show Password, a popup saying "kcproxy wants to make changes"... and wants an administrator's name and password. In System Settings > Users & Groups, your name should show Admin under it. The popup wants your name as shown and the password you use to log into your computer (don't put in your AppleID/pswd). Once you click Allow, you should see your wi-fi password in the keychain window. I hope that helps you.
