I was trying to set up Guided Access for my husband’s iPhone 12 with dementia. I have 9 big apps on his screen but I can’t get back to Settings to change things.

That's not Guided Access, it's Assistive Access. Being able to search by the correct term may be helpful.

Thank you so much for the information. I’m afraid this is all new and I got very confused but I have now managed to exit it so that I can start to set it up better next time round. I really appreciate your reply.

It can be very confusing! I can never remember the name and have to search for "iPhone simplified interface" whenever I need to find out anything about it.
