What is the exact model of this computer? You can get this information by entering the system serial number on the check coverage page here (please don't post the serial number on the forum since it is considered personal information):

It appears the Mac may have Filevault enabled. If it is a 2018+ model, then you should try using a password for any current macOS user account on that Mac. If a clean install of macOS was not performed, then try using any of your old passwords for any former macOS user accounts that were used on that Mac. If it is a 2018-2020 T2 Intel Mac, then I know that the T2 security chip can get confused and not present a proper list of macOS admin users, or even get the user names & passwords mixed up. I think the M-series Macs may have this problem at times as well (at least the by not presenting valid macOS user names to authenticate).
