EV and Long Exposure with iPhone - Aside from Live

Hello.

I am not able to find a way to control the length of exposure of my own choosing. iPhone seems to want to choose an exposure length based on how dark it thinks the scene is. Aside from the Live exposure, is there a way to force the iPhone to take long exposures no matter what it thinks the best exposure setting might be?

I can adjust the EV to +-2 seconds, I think, but that doesn't necessarily equate long exposure where motion effects can be captured.

Thanks in advance.

The exposure time in Night Mode is limited. To get longer exposures, you'll need to use a third-party app. Those essentially "trick" the iPhone into longer exposures by either using Live Photo or taking multiple photos and then blending them into one.

Here are some sites that discuss techniques and options:

For more info, search the web for "iphone astrophotography". Even if you don't want to shoot the night sky, sites that cover that subject will talk about apps for getting longer exposures.
