How do I disable Safari's auto Light/Dark mode?

I use to have my system set to dark mode, which I prefer for everything except Safari, but now Safari is on dark mode too and I can only change it by changing the whole system setting. How do I disable Safari's auto setting? TIA

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.0

Did you install any Safari extension that forces it into Dark mode? I happend to use Noir and when I disabled that extension and refreshed Safari, it was white again — even in dark appearance mode.

Safari also supports the ability to autosense the operating system appearance mode via Cascading Style Sheets (CSS3) coding in a web page and turn a supported web page into dark mode. You won't have the ability to change that on the remote web page.
