Reliable USB-C high-speed hub for external SDD and microphone w/iPhone 15 Pro?

I've yet to find a USB-C hub with few 1-star dings on Amazon. I shoot ProRes LOG to an external SSD and have endured the disconnects that seem to be a common issue with every hub per amazon reviews. (I'm using a Wenter brand hub, SanDisk 1TB Extreme SSD, and Shure MV88+ mic.) I've had some successes, but now nothing but immediate disconnects. I'm using fast cables. Looking for a real pro-level reliable hub, but so far it doesn't seem to be a real thing. Has anyone had better luck?

That was indeed the problem. When I attached a power bank to a hub with a Power Delivery (PD) port, the phone, microphone, and SSD worked together smoothly.

I don't have recommendations as to a particular hub.

However, if you are using a hub, you may want one with its own power source, especially if you try to connect more than one drive to it at the same time. USB 2 and USB 3 host ports only have to provide a fairly small amount of 5V power, and sometimes a single external HDD, SSD, or USB flash drive will try to take ALL of it.

Very helpful, thank you. That could well be the problem; I'll try switching to a hub with an input port for a power brick.
