Navigating with garmin / navionic the GPS stops sometimes and give a strange speed signal

Presumably you have a WiFi+Cellular model iPad - as only Cellular model iPads incorporate GNSS/GPS capabilities. WiFi Only models of iPad do not have any built-in GPS functionality.


You are not the first to complain of unexpected speed/velocity readings when using the Navioncs App with iPad Pro - in particular when moving at low speed.


You may experience improved performance if you consider using a specialist third-party GNSS receiver - such as BadElf, Garmin GLO or GNS3000. These are often employed with Marine or Aviation applications.


If your iPad has a specific performance issue, you might be well advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.


Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:
