Invalid Address when applying for Apple Credit

• To be eligible to apply for Apple Card, you must be 18 years old or older, depending on where you live.
• You must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful resident with a valid, physical U.S. address that's not a P.O. Box. You can also use a military address.
• Your device must be compatible with Apple Pay. See which devices are compatible with Apple Pay. 
• Make sure that your device has the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, or macOS.
• You need to be signed in to your Apple Account on your device and use two-factor authentication.
• If you have a freeze on your credit report, you need to temporarily lift the freeze to apply for Apple Card. Learn how to lift your credit freeze.
• You might need to verify your identity with a Driver's License or State-issued photo ID.

Let’s assume you do meet all the criteria. What is the exact error message you receive when trying to apply?

Your address on your Apple Account (formerly Apple ID) has to match your address on your drivers license/state ID and what you entered on the application exactly. Do they match? Is your DL expired?

I fixed it by:

Street: you enter street number and street name

Street: this is for apartment number, suite number etc., or leave blank

In beginning, Apple auto filled as:

Street: street number

Street: street name

So I called Goldman Sachs Apple Pay: 877-255-5923 then tried several ways. Did not work. Checked Transunion to see if correct address matched credit report, then accidently tried the above and worked.

Error code not very helpful: Street 1 Invalid entry...make sure no special keys...or something like that...
