Zoom or Teams whiteboard using MacBook Pro

I would like to be able to draw on the whiteboard in Teams or Zoom meetings when using my MacBook Pro. Is this possible with an 8th generation iPad and a first generation pencil? I have a 2023 Apple M3 Pro. TIA
