Why is my iPhone 7 Plus overheating while I’m using it?

Recently, I have noticed that my iPhone 7 Plus heats up quickly when I’m using it for regular tasks like browsing or watching videos. Is this a common issue with this model, and what could be causing it? Are there any fixes or things I should check to prevent it from overheating?

If the battery was replaced by someone other than Apple or an authorized service provider, they probably borked the job. I would not consider the device safe to use at this point.

If it was done by Apple or an authorized service provider, take it back to them.

If you did it yourself or had it done by an unauthorized 3rd party, I’d strongly recommend you recycle it and buy a phone that hasn’t been tampered with. Apple won’t touch it.
