Unable to log in keyboard stuck on capitals

Unable to log into my MacBook Air as keyboard is stuck on capitals and therefore not recognising my password.


help please!

I'm assuming you tried to press the Caps Lock key in order to try to toggle it off.


Did you also try pressing the Shift keys to see if one of them is stuck?


Have you tried pressing the Shift key while entering your alphabetic characters?


Have you tried to restart the computer?


Have you disconnected all external devices & also rebooted with no external devices connected?

Thank you for your advice. Tried an external keyboard unfortunately still the same issue.

Visited Apple Store yesterday and unfortunately were unable to fix at Genius Bar.

have suggested it needs either a replacement trackpad or top case / now thinking about this if didn’t work with external keyboard will replacing the above make any difference?
