Recovery disk for MacBook Pro ( 2015) running Monterey

machine is not working properly. Can’t do recovery at start up - doesn’t work - what ever commands I use.

Want to down load a recovery disk. Will OS X recovery disk work or do I have to find recovery disk for Monterey ? Please advise

You cannot download a "recovery disk", per se. What you can do is download the macOS installer and then build an installer on a USB drive. However, you will need a properly working Mac to do that, one capable of running the version of OS you wish to build. For instructions, see:

Since your system has been running Monterey, that's the version I'd recommend downloading.
