Sequoia 15.o.1 is NOT compatible with Office Home and Business 2021.

You might want to get the instructions from Microsoft on how to completely remove Office, remove it, then redownload and reinstall it.

FWIW, the fact that it works in Safe Mode points to a third-party app or apps that are causing the issue. Since third-party apps are not loaded in Safe Mode.

Running Sequoia 15.0.1 (24A348) with MS Office Version 16.90 (24101387) and the app works fine, I just cannot go to recents and open a file. Sometimes it lets me grant access and then sometimes it does not. I have to find the file on my Mac and open it from there insteat of even opening from the Word “open file”. Ugh.

As user Alweir points out, make sure you are running the latest version of Office.

This has nothing to do with the issue in this thread. If you would like help in resolving your issue please start a new thread post asking for help. Also contact Microsoft customer service for help. It’s their product, not Apple’s.

Version 16.90 was released last night.

That is what I am using and mine works. After updating to Sequoia when it first was released out of beta a few weeks ago there was a update to Office the same day.

I too can assure you that Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac works just fine in Sequoia v15.0 and v15.0.1 as I have it installed at v16.89.1 and no documents fail to open correctly or require any access granting.

FYI, I'm running 16.78.3 and no issues.

updated today and still it wants me to grant access to files I worked on yesterday. I have to go to the file and open it from it's location in order to work on it. ugh

I'm running 16.78.3 under Sonoma -- which is not ugradable, unless a new licence is purchased.

Do you confirm you run MS Office under Sequoia without any issues?
