sign issue issue with Carbonite application after Sequoia update

I contacted the Carbonite Customer Support regarding the error: "your account has been disabled." The agent said this is a Issue with a Sequoia OS. I tried and cannot open the Carbonite webpage. I've been able to access other web addresses. I uninstalled the Carbonite app but now I can't access the website to reinstall. Is there a feature of Sequoia OS that will not let me access my account?

The Carbonite app works on my iMac. The current OS is Ventura.

I have a similar issue. I do not have any problem accessing the Carbonite web page, but on my Mac Carbonite has been saying "your account has been disabled." It did this several weeks ago and I had to uninstall and reinstall Carbonite. Today it did it again. However, after I clicked the box to "Enable automatic backup settings," it tried to connect to the server but it's stuck on "your backup is connecting." I don't want to have to reinstall Carbonite every few weeks. Is there another solution to getting the backup running again?

Also, I suspect that it's related to the popup messages I've been seeing about my system being out of memory. When I pull up Activity Monitor, CarboniteDaemon is using a huge amount of memory. I have 24 GB of memory installed in this brand new (bought in June 2024) MacBook Air, so that should be much more than sufficient to run anything I need to run. I am only using an email program and Firefox browser. I started getting the popups occasionally; then they stopped for awhile. Then I noticed that "Carbonite has been disabled" and it had been several days since my backup was run. That's when I reinstalled Carbonite. Not too long afterwards, I started getting the popups again. So I'm wondering if the MacBook has disabled Carbonite and is keeping it from connecting. I have checked the settings and the firewall is still allowing Carbonite, and it also still has "full disk access." So I don't know what's wrong.

This is a real pain! I have an annual subscription that's paid up until next March. I had been using Carbonite for several years on Windows PCs, but when my latest Windows laptop crashed in May or June this year I decided to buy a MacBook to replace it. I plan to switch to iDrive when the Carbonite subscription expires, but I shouldn't have to be struggling to keep Carbonite running in the meantime!
