Here are another few options you could try:

1. Force Close and Reopen the Camera App

Sometimes, a simple app restart can solve minor issues.

• Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open the app switcher.
• Swipe the Camera app off the screen to close it.
• Reopen the Camera app and check if the noise persists.

2. Reset All Settings

Resetting your iPhone’s settings can often clear out any misconfigurations that may have been introduced with an update.

• Go to: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
• This won't delete your data, but it will reset preferences like Wi-Fi passwords and system settings.

3. Check for another iOS Update

Since the issue started after iOS 18.0.1, Apple might release a patch to fix it. Be sure to check if there is a new update available.

• Go to: Settings > General > Software Update.
• If an update is available, install it to see if it resolves the camera noise issue.

Im so sorry that you are experiencing this issues after the update.

I'm so sorry that it didn't work could you try to test the camera with other apps, such as Instagram, Snapchat, or any third-party camera app.

Let me know if the noise persists or not. Then I can suggest maybe a better solution.

It’s not image noise, it’s a physical sound the OP is hearing.

Could you post a screenshot of a photo with the noise it is so we can see the problem?
