Sequoia 15.0.1 for mac is not working with Indesign 19.5

I need to get rid of Sequoia 15.0.1 for Mac. What Mac operating system works with Indesign 19.5?

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17

InDesign CC (version 19.5) is the latest release, as I would assume you already know.

As it was just release in July of this year, it should work in Sequoia. But to move back to Sonoma, you have to do one of two things. This assumes you have the space available.

  1. Create a current backup. Completely erase the Mac, install Sonoma and restore the backup at the end of the install routine.
  2. Create a new volume on your Mac and install Sonoma there, followed by a restore of the same backup. You'll have both Sequoia and Sonoma on your Mac and can then start up to either.

The latter may be preferable. You can keep installing updates to InDesign under both OS's. When InDesign is finally updated to work properly under Sequoia, you can then remove the Sonoma volume.

Hi Al...it's actually my MacBook Pro. See specs in screenshot. I must have hit the wrong button. Adobe told me that Indesign would not work with Sequoia. However, that was AFTER I went to the genius bar and they ran a diagnostic on my computer and said they needed to keep it. Apple Store employee told me that Sequoia and Indesign 19.5 work together...no problem. After one week of trying to get this resolved, the solution is to get rid of the MacOS Sequoia and replace with Sonoma. I can't find any place that tells me how to do this. I really need some help so I can get work done as I am almost at the point where I will lose this account.
