I am not receiving push notifications on my iPhone after iOS 18 update

After the iOS 18 update I no longer receive push notifications on my Lock Screen. I have to open the apps to see that I receive a message hours ago and never received the notification. iPhone 13 Pro

This issue is pretty annoying, i tried everything but seems like Apple are not prioritizing fixing the issue.

SOLVED!!

It’s a push notification issue with iOS18. It effects non Apple apps only. Don’t waste your time calling Apple because they will refer you to the app creator. To fix it you have to go to settings-general-iPhone storage and then delete and redownload whichever apps you’re not getting notifications for. You basically have to redo the permission that pops up when you first download an app that asks for permission to send you notifications.

Sharing my case: had my phone set to Italian language, with English as secondary language. After upgrading to iOS 18 i noticed I didn't receive push notifications from some Apps (in particular from QNAP QManager to manage a NAS) while iOS Mail, GMail and others worked normally. Tried activating Focus mode on/off, reset network settings, forcing reboot with no results. Solved after setting iPhone language to English, setting Focus/Do Not Diturb mode on then off (notification badges appears on app icons), still working (so far) after setting language back to Italian. Hope it can help.

#7, reset all settings, fixed the notification issues. But, get use to setting up your phone again for the next week or so. You’ll have to login to your all your WiFi-s with your password again, set up signing in with your password and face recognition with all your apps; tailor all your display, font, focus, sound & haptics settings again; almost like a brand new phone, except your apps and data are there. Pretty annoying.

I will probably refrain from any updates indefinitely. I already use F2A with hard passkeys, and a VPN, so the security argument for conducting updates is watered down enough for my risk tolerance. With the “leave no child behind” generation securely in today’s workforce, these half-assed updates they’re putting out aren’t worth the trouble.

I’ll be setting up a secure googless android to replace the iPhone soon enough. Abstaining from any new Apple products from here on out will be my weaning off Apple period. This sort of thing has happened too often.

I am also having the same issue with notifications not appearing on locked screen. I only know that I have a notification because the notification is sent to my iwatch. I spent 1 1/2 hrs in the Apple store yesterday trying to sort the issue and the only way to seemed to fix it (only until this morning) was to unpair and then re-pair my iwatch. I don't like having to constantly pick up my phone to look but I missed so many important messages because I didn't realise it was happening.

Is there a way to roll back to the previous IOS version?

I think i found the issue. Go to settings and select "Notifications". From there, go the the app that you want the notifications from and open it. Scroll down to the bottom to "Customize Notications". Again, scroll down to the bottom and select "Primairy Inbox" Turn the alerts on and it should work. Took some time messing around in my phone to find this.

This same thing just happened to my phone after an update. I also have the iPhone 13 Pro and I’m not receiving notifications although I did not mess with my notification settings. I did however go in and try to reset my phone and it did not work; nothing has worked that I’ve tried. I have to open the app in order to get the notification. It’s starting to make me pretty annoyed. It’s been happening for days now and I can’t get it to start working again. Apple needs to get this fixed asap!!!
