I got hacked after registering at V380 Pro App (see Skoski29’s question)

I could no longer reply to that thread so I have to start a new one.

Bought a CCTV bulb that required me to register to the said app. 7hours later I got an email spoofing or a type of scam where the sender is the same email as the recipient’s (I was able to read it pretty late about 3hours after I got it). The template was that of Pegasus email scam. I was not worried of threat but I was worried how scammers now can hide themselves under our own legit email address. Worse, I registered using “Hide my email” but they got through to the primary email address and that’s what they used to contact me.

Panicked,I tried to log in to that email address but the password’s been changed and I couldn’t even access it to my Authenticator App (two-factor authentication precaution). That’s when I freaked out how on earth my Authenticator App would no longer work. Good thing I was able to retrieve it in another security format. I immediately discarded that email address.

But more than that, earlier that day, 3hours after registering, I received a text notification of a purchase i didn’t do. The next day I went out to the mall and to my surprise, my card’s been maxed out. Called the bank and the operator were able to tell me all there were 4charges made that I did not do.

The difference with my case with Skoski29 is that I didn’t fall for purchasing anything on that app. They were too pushy to sell so that’s sketchy for me.

Long story short, I put two and two together and with a help of a friend, we realized that REGISTERING AT V380 PRO APP &/OR V380 APP will take your email address and use it to CLONE YOUR PHONE. Don’t ask me how they do that or how we come up with that conclusion. It took me 3days to realize what could have caused this and how they were able to get to my accounts.
