If the App Store icon is missing from your home screen, and if you haven't already done so, you may want to search the App Library to see if you find it there.

You could try restarting your iPhone: (Deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update recent setting changes, and often restores order if something is not working as expected. How to: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
