Cannot unzip iCloud Download???

Downloaded many photos over quite some time from iCloud to Windows External Hard Drive then find the download is in a WinZip locked Folder...How do I open without having to pay monies to WinZip for the privilege of seeing my own photos!!! This is disgusting that you force us to use an exhorbantly priced third party app just to see our own BackUp! Please advise a way to see them for free in my backup.
