I keep getting prompts on Facebook that my browser needs updating.

but when I look in Finder, scrolling down to Safari, I see this:

I see no clues in About this Ma to tell me which version of Safari I should be using, and if necessary, how to download. For info, I'm working on a 2013 27inch iMac using Catalina 10.15.7 Is there a later version of Safari I should be using, or is FB suggesting I use a different browser? because that just isn't going to happen.

When I check my iPad, a 2017 model, I scroll down the apps to Safari, and all I get in Default Browser is the Name safari, and a tick, nothing to even tell me which version it's using.

Update to the latest version of Safari - Apple Support says,

"If a website says that Safari is out of date even though you're already using the latest version of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, or visionOS, there could be an issue with the website. If you’re sure that you want to use the website, contact the website owner or developer for guidance about how to best use their website."

That would be Facebook / Meta.
