New computer or new battery for 2019 MBAir

Is it still worth getting new battery for my 2019 Mac Book Air. How long before I can't update the OS?

Hmm just looked at the iFix it battery replacement:

A lot of stuff has to come out but adhesive removal is dead simple. I've done a lot of the older ones and removing the adhesive was a pain but I've developed some simplified techniques.

This machine will run Sonoma 14.x which is one back from the current OS. I use older machines still running Mojave 10.14.x because I'm cheap and use M. Suite 365 and CS6.

That has already happened. A 2019 MacBook Air cannot be updated beyond macOS 14.x (Sonoma). The most recent macOS is 15.0.1 Sequoia.

New Battery or New Computer:

That depends on what you are looking to use your Mac for. Macs from 2020 (or 2021) and after have Silicon CPUs. Your model has an Intel processor. I use older software and need to run Pre-Windows 11 Virtual Machines. With a Silicon Mac, you can't run older versions of MS Windows as Virtual Machines. As for when the update support ends, time will tell. So, if you were to transfer to a new Mac, go by this link: Movie your Content to a new Mac - Apple Support.

What issues are you having with your Mac's battery, BTW?

Somethings to go by...

Troubleshooting Mac Charge:

Refer to the following....

A. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:

(Applies yo Intel-Based Macs Only) Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. Updates), system configurations (i.e. for Power) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Try performing each thrice. It may take sometime, being certain you have the time to perform these resets.

B. Try a New Charger:

C. A Few Links to Refer to for Power:
