Iphone 16 Pro Camera App crashing

iPhone 16 pro camera app crashes every now and then when I open it through photo app or through any other app having integration to camera.

Its really frustrating and apple upon contact initially mentioned its one off and then today it turned to be a mass problem with some devices.

No ETA on fix and I am left with a non working device without replacement. Its just 20 days old device.

Take this in for Service:

It may be a hardware error on Apple's part. In some countries/regions, Apple provides out-of-the-box limited warranty. Go here, and see if you have any coverage: Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support. Set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options. IMPORTANT: Be certain to bring along a proof of purchase (i.e. sale receipt or original packaging) and the iPhone, itself.

Thanks I contacted support through apple support where they ran diagnosis. Would Genius bar would do some other activity? Support recommended the engineering team is aware of the issue and working on the fix but no ETA which is something I dont understand how I can work with non-operable device. Camera app performs face recognition as well if that stops then most of my apps would take longer for sign in including logging in to phone.

Awaiting the Service:

Without the device, you'd have to use another service, perhaps VOIP at your house phone, or another's device. If facial recognition is working, then it may be no more than a software issue. So, you'll just have to wait it out. IF found to be faulty, it may or may not be of any cost, per Apple's discretion.

Thanks I am from Australia and home phones have been phased out by most of ISPs here. Its not a viable option but let me check with Consumer forum if they can intervene as in case of manufacturer fault we are entitled for refund/replacement when its not user fault. Apple has got less discretion within the warranty period.

Thanks for the followup reply.

My 2017 MBP ended up being faulty, and we eventually replaced. So, indeed the do replace faulty devices. Keep us up to date on where the replacement status stands.
