Apple pencil (gen 1) working abnormally

When the apple pencil is connected to the ipad, it will work fine for a while but won’t function after a few seconds. And I’ll have to plug it into the lightning port to connect it again in order to make it work for a few seconds, and the issue repeats itself. Widget and settings will indicate that the apple pencil is still connected when it doesn’t function with the battery percentage showing. How can I fix this? Thanks

Apple Pencil not connecting anymore My Apple Pencil will not show in my connected devices nor work anymore. I used it without issues for about four/five months until one day it stopped working. I have recharged it and updated my iPad to the latest version with no success. Also tried disconnecting and forgetting the Pencil but it won’t show again; as well as tried turning my iPad off and on again.
