My is on mac is old OS 2001. However i’m simply airdropping a jpg made on my m1. These transfers never get populated into my library. Any insight appreciated.

In iOS 17, Recents is sorted by date added, so the a picture you just added appears at the end. But Library is sorted by date taken, so a picture airdropped today but taken in January would appear with pictures 9 months ago. If you find the picture in Recents, it will show the "taken" date in the info window, so you'll know where to look. Is it possible you're not looking it the right area?
Airdropped Jpgs from mac to iphone never appear in library-all photos but are found in recents Album. How do I get the main library to see these images?
