The flash drive reads very slowly with MacBook Air M1

Problem with MacBook Air M1

The flash drive reads very slowly, even the file list can take a couple of minutes to load. Also, after loading, when I try to open a preview, Finder just freezes for several minutes, and it’s impossible to transfer files from the flash drive to the laptop.

However, on my girlfriend’s MacBook, which is exactly the same, the flash drive works perfectly fine. My memory isn’t full, the RAM is fine, and there are no issues with the ports. I don’t understand what the problem might be.

The problem started a while ago. I’ve always used the latest versions of macOS: Monterey, Sonoma, Sequoia.
