Is serial number validating enough, before buying an iPhone 15?

I'm intend to buy an iPhone 15 Pro. Then I check through the internet and there are several shops/parties selling it with different range of amounts. Also I check for how to identify fake product. Some says we can identify using the bezel and several ways. Also there is other method with checking with the serial number. Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support . What I need to know, if we validate the serial number with mentioned apple web site and return as it is true device, then can we consider it as 100% genuine product? Even if the apple site says this is genuine, still is there any possibility to become the product is fake? Could you advice me on my matter?

"Those are not used. Advertised as brand new."

Ask yourself this, if they are brand new, then why are they cheaper? That should be a big red flag right there.

If you want to take your chance and purchase from an unknown person, then by all means go ahead. Just don't be surprised when you get an unusable phone with no way to get your money back, or a grey market phone with no warranty.

If they are not being sold by Apple or an authorized service provider, they can not be “brand new”.

The absolute best case is they are gray market devices that have been sitting on a shelf somewhere. The warranty may be expired or partially elapsed already as it begins on the date of original sale by Apple or an authorized retailer.

They may be used. They may be stolen, they may be counterfeit using a legitimate serial number to scam buyers.

If the price is substantially lower than that being charged by Apple, there is a good chance it’s a scam.

Don’t do it.
