iPhone 16 screen is noticeably more blue?

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this anomaly or if this is the new normal.

I've just "upgraded" from an iPhone 12 Mini to an iPhone 16. It's quite apparent that the screen on the 16 is cooler than on the 12.

For reference, if I go into Night Shift mode and manually enable it, landing the Color Temperature slider under the "r" in Less Warm appears to be a more neutral color that matches the 12 Mini.

I also noticed as soon as the phone was fully activated that the screen quality is not quite as good as the 12 Mini. I see in the specs that the resolution is less than the 12 Mini - should this be so noticeable? Overall, the quality of the screen seems dull.

What's the likelihood that I have a bad screen out of the box?
