Dark mode in new update changes app appearance to dark. Why and can this be fixed?

Notice all the apps with a white or light background went to dark mode. This has never happened in the other updates. I don’t like it and want to have the apps so that they stand out but keep the phone in dark mode when opening apps hints like the news app or books app. Any thoughts?

I really appreciate apps using Dark mode in their UIs,as well as displaying dark app icons on the home screen. So I noticed right away after updating iOS to 18.3.1, that all the app icons on the home screen & app library were the bright “light” icons instead of “dark” icons. Incidentally, the iPhone’s home screen wallpaper, icons, and folder backgrounds continued to become dark as usual. Meanwhile, all the same app icons on all of the family iPads (various generations, all just updated to iPadOS 18.3) changed to dark icons along with the Dark display & brightness. I don’t yet know if this issue affects many or few iPhone models. Anyone know?

Dark mode on ios 16.4.1 I’m having some issues with iphone dark mode. Sometimes wallpapers (either Home Screen or Lock Screen) are stuck in dark mode after sunrise. customized wallpaper (created with emoji) only shows background color without any emoji in dark mode. Moreover during dark mode youtube app search shows results in light mode while fonts are stuck (white) in dark mode. any suggestion to fix this problem?

IOS 16- Is this a bug? Hello everyone, i updated to IOS 16 and i think i have a question. When on horizontal mode like for example when watching Netflix or YouTube the notification tab is now dark but when vertical it’s normal showing the wallpaper. Is this a new weird feature or a bug? Please let me know.
