If there is a workable solution for getting the iMessages app icon back, please let me know. It has disappeared. I can still send messages using Siri. I am getting received messages notification on my home screen. I have tried restarting the phone and it did not resolve the problem.

Messages cannot be deleted, so it is somewhere on your iPhone. If you can’t find it go to the App Library, the last page of the Home screen, tap on the Search box and you can find Messages, then drag it to where you want it.
