Cannot access private browsing in Safari on iPad Pro running iOS 17.7

I have recently noticed the private browsing option has disappeared from iPad. Updated to 17.7 but no difference. Used to be set to “Open Safari with new private window” now no privacy settings found in either tabs or saved searches.
