How do I put emergency contact [wife's number] on lock screen?

Dear all

I've put my wife's number in the Health app, but how do I get it to show on the lock screen? I'm using my iPhone 12 with iOS 17.6.1

It doesn't work the way you want. If you have an emergency and some picks up your iPhone, and try to open it on the bottom left corner of the screen should be Emergency, which someone can tap and should take them to your emergency contact on your phone. If you truly want your emergency contact number on your lock screen, using the Markup tools on your lock screen wallpaper is the way to do that.

Use Markup to add text to a photo, then use that photo as your lock screen photo.

You're not dim. It's not all that easy or intuitive.

I don't think that's what I want to do – or is it the only solution?

AIUI once I have put my wife's number in the Health app as the emergency contact, this – and other medical info – is supposed to be visible on the lock screen.

I've enabled that within the app, but nothing shows up on the lock screen.

If that doesn't work then I suppose this Markup app will be the route to go but I was expecting either some text or a link to the health app.

Bottom left on my screen is the torch switch. Where do I find – or how do I put - Emergency on there?

Sorry to be so dim, I'm still someone who thinks of a phone as a device for voice calls and text!!
