i want to know how to type an apple account password followed by verification code. how should it be typed say the password im trying to enter is "example" and the verification code is 123456. how should i enter the 2 in the password box

You will need to request a code in Settings on a trusted device before you enter the password since otherwise the code is not sent until after you enter the passcode and by the time you get back to entering the password, the code will have expired.

If you are using an older device without explicit support for 2-factor authentication, you enter the password and the code with no spaces in the password field.
So you would type "example123456" into the password field.
If you're asking about Apple's Two-Factor Authentication and you're using a current device, you enter the password and then you get a screen to enter the verification code.
