iPhone 16 Pro's 5x Telephoto Lens is not switching in good lighting

My new iphone 16 pro just not switching to its physical 5x telephoto lens even in good lighting conditions (direct sunlight). It just crops in 1x.

iPhone 15 pro telephoto lens doesn’t get used Hi Just got a iPhone 15 pro. And using the camera app, and covering each lens, reveals that when going tighter the app doesn’t utilise the telephoto lens. It simply crops in on the 24mm one. Why is the 5x camera lens on my iPhone 16 Pro acting unstable? Hello. I am having problems with the 5x lens on my phone's camera. The phone is very unstable when switching lenses, it switches instantly without stopping.
