I’m afraid that this Act will probably not extend to third party services on a TV, instead just for the TV hardware functionality itself. But feel free to try.

Sometimes I get lucky and Slow Horses will load.

So it does work, but not always. To me, that seems to point to a network issue. If the remote server doesn’t respond, or if the TV doesn’t receive that response, then content may not load. Probably not the TVs fault.

My wife found a workaround to this problem. Every time we try to play something it says something like: “Cannot play content, please check internet connection”. The solution that works 100% every time for us is, as soon as the content starts to load, hit the fast forward button and fast forward around 50 seconds, then press play. If you go too far you can rewind but if you rewind earlier than around 40 seconds the “Cannot play…” message pops up again. TBH, you don’t really miss anything, as c.50 seconds usually either falls somewhere in the recap or in the start credits. This is the only way we can get Apple TV to play on our brand new LG smart TV.
